Butler service

Unlike Butler service in many luxury resorts in the Maldives, St. Regis Butler Service promises personal service to the guest. Butlers at St. Regis Maldives will go above and beyond to make sure guests enjoy their stay. Guests can rely on their Butlers to make spa, dining, watersport arrangements and when necessary, St. Regis associates are only allowed to contact the guest through guest's personal Butler.

Chief Butler: Adam Anil Ahmed

Background/Experience:

Originally from the Maldives, Anil has worked in luxury resorts in the country for 8 years and lead up to 17 Butlers in Six Senses, Hilton, Anantara Kihavah prior to joining the pre-opening team at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort. He graduated from Tourism school in India and International Institute of Modern Butlers. His previous VIP clients includes family members of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo, John Legend, Fernando Torres, etc (please do not publish these names). Anil who is afraid of height, went down under the ocean to fulfill guest's proposal wish. He dove down the ocean to showcase a proposal signboard while the couple enjoyed lunch at the underwater restaurant.

What makes St. Regis Butler Service unique compare to other luxury resorts in the Maldives?

1. Pre-Arrival Experience: E-Butler Service

One week prior to guest's arrival, Anil will send an email to introduce himself as the Chief Butler and enclose a questionnaire to be answered by the guest to understand guest's preferences such as:

- Preferred bedding, allergies or any other requirements that you may have.

- A favored beverage for your private bar at an additional cost.

- Any special culinary preferences or dietary requirements or allergies.

- Your preferred reading material and music.

- Your hobbies, favorite activities and interests, or anything else that I can assist with.

2. St. Regis Butler Service at Male International Airport

A St. Regis Airport Butler will approach the guest at the arrival gate, offer them a hot towel, handle their luggage, collect their boarding pass at Seaplane counter and escort them to their St. Regis car (Bentley, Land Cruiser or Mini Van). When they're in the car, they will receive an iPad to play a short introduction video features guest's personal St. Regis Butler. From this moment on guest will be able to recognize the face and the name of their personal Butler who will take good care of them during their stay. The car will then take the guest to "Great Room" (St. Regis Maldives Airport Lounge) while waiting for their seaplane ready.

3. Arrival Experience

When guests arrive at St. Regis Maldives' arrival jetty, their personal Butler - who appears in the short introductory video - will greet them upon arrival, assist with hotel check in process, take care of their luggage, drive them to their villa, unpack their luggage (pack and unpack services), serve tea (beverage service), explain the features in the villa, reconfirm any arrangement that the guest has requested in the e-butler service email such as dinner appointment, sailing arrangement, etc. Lastly, the Butler will invite the guest for a star gazing session at the rooftop of ALBA restaurant any night during their stay.
