45 Park Lane reveals new 2017 Art Programme
Dorchester Collection's contemporary Mayfair hotel, 45 Park Lane, today revealed its 2017 art programme will be curated around "The Uplifting Power of Art" by Ackerman Studios.
A series of exclusive exhibitions and gallery residences will be held at 45 Park Lane providing a platform for emerging artists, including exciting new talent such as neon artist Lhouette, sculptor Anna Masters, and No-Wave scene influenced artist Bonnie & Clyde. The hotel further enhances its guest experience by arranging interactions with the artists, and inviting artists to collaborate with its craftsmen to shape the hotel environment during exhibitions.
Commenting on 45 Park Lane's art programme, general manager John Scanlon said: "As well as being a stylish harbour and providing exquisite service, a luxury hotel should provide guests with an inspiring and intriguing environment which we achieve through our constantly changing art programme. I want our guests to look forward to discovering new artists when they stay at 45 Park Lane - like a trusted sommelier that can be relied upon to recommend an interesting wine".
Commenting on the 2017 art programme, curator Roy Ackerman said: "I felt "uplifting" was a powerful theme to curate around as so much art is joyful to look at, and it can uplift and change the experience of a room. Equally importantly, 45 Park Lane's exhibition programme has now grown to a point where it can have a measurably uplifting impact on an artist's profile".
Young British urban pop artist Lhouette added: "It's an exhilarating prospect to be exhibiting my work in a slick, dynamic environment like 45 Park Lane. It's important for me to expose my art to as many different audiences as possible, and the idea of guests and visitors heading to the bar or restaurant, or for a night at 45 Park Lane and walking (perhaps unexpectedly) into a full Lhouette art experience is really exciting".
Interactions take the form of Private Views and Art talks such as Patrick Hughes art talk with London Art Fair at 45 Park Lane January 20, 2017, and collaborations to look forward to include Lhouette's design for a cocktail with head bartender Maurizio Palermo, titled Lhouette's Angel available at BAR 45 in February and March 2017.
