Chef Wolfgang Puck launches a pop-up of the renowned Spago at CUT at 45 Park Lane, June 28 - July 01 2017

 

CUT at 45 Park Lane, located within Dorchester Collection's contemporary Mayfair hotel is delighted to announce that on Wednesday, June 28 Wolfgang Puck will launch a pop-up of his flagship Californian restaurant Spago for four days, to commemorate Spago's 35th anniversary.

 

For four days Wolfgang Puck in collaboration with Spago's chef de cuisine Tetsu Yahagi and CUT at 45 Park Lane's executive chef David McIntyre will take over the kitchens to serve a Spago-inspired menu for both lunch and dinner service. Spago is internationally renowned for its quintessential Californian cuisine and the menu's highlights include the renowned Squid Ink Garganelli served with Maine Lobster or the Emmental Cheese Souffle at lunch and the Veal Tartare with Applewood Smoke Mascarpone or Grilled Cuttlefish served with sauteed tripe and black pudding offered at dinner. During the pop-up guests will also enjoy special one-off touches that will ensure the experience is memorable.

 

Since the day Spago opened, Champagne Lanson has been its pouring partner. In a nod to this, CUT at 45 Park Lane's head sommelier Matteo Ramazzina will serve magnum bottles of a 1982 vintage Champagne Lanson during the exclusive pop-up.

 

Commenting on the Spago takeover CUT at 45 Park Lane's founding chef, Wolfgang Puck says: "It is a dream come true to bring my first restaurant in the world, to my debut restaurant in Europe. I am delighted to offer diners of CUT at 45 Park Lane a taste of California and a unique culinary experience".

 

Commenting on the Spago pop-up, CUT at 45 Park Lane's executive chef David McIntyre says: "It is great to be working alongside Tetsu Yahagi and Wolfgang Puck on this exciting collaboration. The menu is a true reflection of the evolution of Spago's food concept and as a Californian I am extremely excited to be offering London diners these iconic dishes".

 

From its opening day in 1982, Spago became an overnight success earning many accolades, including the AAA Four Diamond Award and two Michelin stars from The Michelin Guide - Los Angeles edition. Originally located in West Hollywood, the restaurant relocated to Canon Drive in Beverly Hills in 1997 where Puck continued to build his reputation not only on the dining scene in Los Angeles but throughout the world.

 

In September 2011, Wolfgang Puck made his restaurant debut in Europe when he opened modern American steak restaurant, CUT at 45 Park Lane. Since the opening, California born executive chef David McIntyre has led his team to offer outstanding dishes, a superb wine list and impeccable service.

 

Spago's pop-up at CUT at 45 Park Lane is available for dinner only from Wednesday, June 28 and lunch and dinner from Thursday, June 29 to Saturday, July 01. Prices start from 14.00 pounds for an appetiser or 32.00 pounds for entrees.
